That's right - it is time for the creature known as Doyle's Bayou Park to be re-born from the slop and slush that was last years tournament.
It has been over a year since we have used DBP, and I went out there Friday to check out the land and put in the tee boxes and basket stakes - the park looks better than ever! The creek is very low, and all the fairways are open, but there is quite a bit of weedeating and trimming to do to make it perfect!
WE WILL ALSO BE NEEDING AT LEAST 15 BASKETS TO COMPLETE THE COURSE - PLEASE BRING YOUR PORTABLE DISC GOLF BASKET! Please let us know if you can bring yours.
The layout is basically the dame as the last 18 hole layout we used at the DBP Open last year, with 7 holes from the yellow tees being over 400' (3 over 600').
Directions: go North on I-110 and get off on exit #6 (Southern University/Airport Exit) go right on Harding for 1 mile to Plank. Take a Left on Plank Rd and stay on Plank for 12 miles (go through Baker and Zachary). Take a Left on Port Hudson - Pride Road for 1.6 miles and take a right into the park. First hole goes through the woods in the back by the playground.
Normal entry fees and start time. Will post when flier is done.
