For the first time in English Disc Golf history the PDGA have sanctioned the British Open as a B-Tier event. This will enable the tournament to open up more divisions and allows touring PDGA members to pick up some valuable points. The British Open also features on the Southern European tour and amazingly is also now a Southern Nationals Qualifying Event
Several Southern National players are already registered for this tournament and a large amount of sponsorships in the form of discs have been donated to the event.
So if you can get there then do so, Colchester is one of Englands oldest cities and the Golf course there is the oldest one in the UK. Represent the SN family across the pond and bring the honors home!!!! The Pro purse is already $3000 +
Incredibly rare QK’s will be included in the players pack, and the event is sure to be one of the best ever in the UK
Format
3 x 18 holes for all players, mixed first round followed by divisional rounds. 9 hole Pro Open final, 6 hole final for all other divisions. Finals will be top 5 for divisions with 10 or more players, and top 4 for divisions with 5 to 9 players.

Anyone wishing to talk to a British contact without incurring international phone charges can call Marc Sheldon on (504) 495 7044 or email imarc@ezei5.com.
Marc is also collecting discs as sponsorships due to the rarity of cool stamps in the UK. Anyone making a significant donation to this will get a mention in the official program and a t-shirt.
