The Columbus Disc Golf Association is excited to be the host of the 2013 Southern Nationals Pro Championship!
The tournament will be held August 31 - September 1st, 2013 in Columbus, Mississippi, featuring 3 quality, challenging courses in Propst Park, Lake Lowndes, and Lake Lowndes Gold, to test your skills and find out who will be this year's Southern Nationals Pro division champions. The tournament will be a PDGA B tier and a USDGC qualifier event.
The field will be capped at 144 players. Only the first 144 players invited (based on final 2012-2013 points) will have a chance to sign up before August 1st. The list of invited players will be posted shortly after the conclusion of the 2012-2013 season, and invites will be sent out no later than June 21, 2013.
Qualified players will have until August 1, 2013, to get registered. After this deadline, any SN-qualified professional player (played a 2012-2013 SN qualifier as a professional) will then be able to register. If the tournament has not filled by August 17, 2013, any player with SN points, Pro or Am, will be able to register. There will be NO day off registration!
Format:
The field will be split into 2 pools. All divisions will play the long tees.
Players meeting at 9 am
Round 1 - Saturday 10 am
Pool A will play Lake Lowndes
Pool B will play Propst Park
Round 2 - Saturday TBA
Pool A will play Propst Park
Pool B will play Lake Lowndes
Round 3 - Sunday 9 am
Pool A will play Propst Park
Pool B will play Lake Lowndes Gold
Round 4 - Sunday TBA
Pool A will play Lake Lowndes Gold
Pool B will play Propst Park
There will be a final 6 holes, continuation of score for the top 4 Open scores plus ties.
